Damon Namvar, DPMDr. Namvar is specialized with a spectrum of care including both traumatic and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle as well as conservative foot and ankle care. Dr. Namvar’s belief system has always been focused on a team effort in healing patients. An important part of Dr. Namvar’s patient care is teaching his patients how to care for themselves and to prevent problems. Dr. Namvar is an active member of both the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons as well as the American Podiatric Medical Society.
Dr. Damon Namvar completed his three-year podiatric surgical residency program with Kaiser Hospital in Sacramento and finished his first year of residency at the VA-Albuquerque New Mexico. Prior to Dr. Namvar’s residency training he attended the California School of Podiatric Medicine and received his doctor of podiatric medicine degree.
The foot and ankle are the foundation of the body and Dr. Namvar’s goal is to get his patients back to every day activities and to a healthy enjoyable life as soon as possible, whether it is by conservative care or surgical approaches.
Dr. Namvar was the regional editor for the National Foot and Ankle Review from 2004 to 2006. He has worked with Project Homeless Connect in San Francisco, CA where Dr. Namvar assisted in reaching out to the 15,000 homeless in San Francisco. In addition to Project Homeless Connect Dr. Namvar also participated as a Rotacare Free Clinic volunteer from 2001-2003. Dr. Namvar is able to speak Farsi and enjoys spending time reading, playing soccer and traveling.
