Dr. Wong is a renowned plastic surgeon and a vital part of the cosmetic center at Rubin Health and Wellness. Dr. Wong provides surgical consultations for our cosmetic clients considering plastic surgery.
Dr. Wong's qualifications are extensive, having completed his plastic surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School and plastic surgery residency at the University of California. He holds two doctorates, graduated medical school with distinction, and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Wong is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
In addition, Dr. Wong is Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of California, Davis Medical Center where he develops and teaches the latest techniques in plastic surgery and conducts surgical research. He was awarded the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon's research grant to study breast implants and has published numerous articles on cosmetic surgery, craniofacial surgery, and minimally invasive surgery. Dr Wong presents nationally and internationally and has been an invited lecturer across Asia, Europe, Central, and South America.
Dr. Wong is a member of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, California Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Cleft Palate Association, American Medical Association, and the American College of Surgeons, in addition to numerous other organizations.
Botox is injected into facial muscles; it works by blocking neuromuscular transmitters which results in the relaxation of the muscle. As a response, the adjacent wrinkles on the surface become less apparent or invisible.
